How I Used A Chemistry Set For Kids As An Educational Tool

How I Used A Chemistry Set For Kids As An Educational ToolHave you ever wanted to own a chemistry set for kids? You can easily find a great deal of these, and what better place to look than at an online store that specializes in learning toys for children?I remember when I bought my first chemistry set for kids, which was an Oldsmobile, I really loved the thought of making all sorts of substances with it. It seemed like it could be a great opportunity to develop a good home science project. I really was excited about it.When I finally got around to opening up the box and going through the contents of the chemistry set for kids, I was rather disappointed. The containers were different colors and I couldn't make out a thing in the instructions or the graphic instructions. What a waste! My chemistry set for kids was supposed to be the answer to my childhood dreams of being able to do all sorts of chemical reactions with my favorite alchemist characters. So I opened up the old set, opened up the label and there it was written... Chemistry set for kids. I opened the box and it was filled with lots of paper, a very plain but colorful bottle and a bunch of liquids with different labels on them. With a clean bottle and instructions I was pretty happy with it.So I took it out of the box and gave it a shake, turned it over and looked it over, and found it to be in pretty nice condition. I figured the color was meant to be a bit lighter because this was the first one I had purchased, and I tried rubbing the bottle a bit to see if I could get some extra coloring. I knew that this was supposed to be a bit darker so I put some away in a bucket along with some other things that could add to the effect, like some nail polish remover and the different liquids.I still wasn't very happy with the results, but I was pretty sure that I was going to try again with a different color. I went back through the instructions, and there it was written out for me and I knew that I was suppose d to add in a little water. So I did, and I was pretty pleased with the result.Anyway, I was looking online to see if anybody else had bought a real chemistry set for kids and it occurred to me that it might be kind of cool to design a science project out of the different liquid colors in the containers and so on. I know that I have always loved to color, and even though I was afraid that I wouldn't have been very good at it, I realized that I could design a test with the different liquids to see if they would react differently, and if I could make the test consistent.I took the old chemistry set and started filling the containers with different liquids that I knew to be different colors. I was really very happy with how it turned out, and since then it has served me for my chemistry projects.
